The Spartans pounded-out 22 runs over the course of two games on Thursday and staved-off elimination twice in 15-8 and 7-2 wins over Jamestown (N.D.) and Sterling (Kan.). With the wins, the Spartans have guaranteed themselves a spot in Friday's if-necessary Championship Game.

After scoring four runs in the first three innings, Missouri Baptist allowed five unanswered runs in the last three innings and was handed a 5-4 loss by the Sterling (Kan.) Warriors at the Jamestown Bracket in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
MOBILE, Ala. - Missouri Baptist men's tennis played its first ever match at the NAIA national tournament on Wednesday. The 22-seeded Spartans took on the 11-seeded Crusaders from William Carey, but fell 5-1, ending the Spartans' historic season.
