MBU's Riley Gavello was named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week for the week of March 16-22. 

Gavello, a senior outfielder from Lodi, California, had just seven at-bats for the week, but made the most of them. Gavello was 4-for-7 for a .571 average. He collected a double and triple, and added four runs batted in, along with a pair of walks. Gavello was 1-for-3 against Madonna University, and followed that with a 3-for-4 performance with four RBI in an 11-2 victory over College to the Ozarks.

The Spartans were 1-1 for the week. They are now 14-4 overall, 1-1 in the AMC.
