The MBU men's golf team turned in a fourth place team finish at this year's American Midwest Conference Championship at A.L. Gustin Golf Course in Columbia, Mo. The team finished with a three-round total of 878 strokes, 16 shots behind first place William Woods University.

MBU junior and team captain Kyle Jasper was named the AMC Player of the Year. Jasper and senior teammate Zack Daugherty finished in a tie for second place overall at the tournament and just missed qualifying for the NAIA National Championship. Both shot a 54-hole total of 212. Blake McDowell, Steven Went, and Dustin Hoehn also competed.

"I was very, very proud of the guys! They fought their hearts out and gave it all they had," said MBU Head Coach Justin Hoagland. The Spartans finish the Spring season with top performances of first place at Hannibal-LaGrange College and a third place finish at Milliken Uniersity.
