The MBU men's cross country team finished in sixth place at the Saluki Invitational at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale on Saturday.
The Spartans were paced by senior Kenny Kibii (Kenya), who finished in 17th place in a field of 88. Kibii finished the 8k in 27:36.4. Also competing for MBU were senior Steve Bender (St. Louis/Lindbergh HS) in 31:08, junior Kyle Meyer (Wildwood, Mo./Lafayette HS) in 31:37, junior Jason Kohlbaker (Dexter, Mo./Highland CC) in 31:46 and sophomore Zach Keller (Festus, Mo./Festus HS) in 33:35.
The Spartans will compete next at the Loyola University Sean Earl Classic on Saturday, October 3rd.
