The MBU women's wrestling team finished in first place in the Women's Open Division at the 14th Annual Copa Sparta Cup Invitational.

Four Lady Spartan grapplers won their weight class. Caitlyn Chase went 2-0 at 48 kg and Amy Whitbeck went 1-0 at 55 kg. Helen Maroulis went 2-0 at 59 kg, and Vonnie Carlson went 2-0 at 63 kg, with both girls having no points scored upon them in the tournament. MBU's Courtney Kinimaka finished in second place at 63 kg, going 1-1 and losing in the finals to teammate Carlson.
