The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced the Missouri Baptist University softball team as one of the 2008-2009 "Girls Got Game" All Academic Teams. The award is based on GPA's submitted for the 2008-2009 school year. 

Through the All Academic Team program, the NFCA honors high school and collegiate softball teams at all Divisions of the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA, for their success in the classroom. The Lady Spartans ranked 12th of the 31 NAIA entries received by the NFCA.

Four members of the MBU softball team received certificates of recognition for maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA for the same period. They are: Jessica Robinson, Stacey Launius, Danielle Hayden, and Caitlin McClintock
