MBU senior Meagan Hudson (Festus, Mo./Crystal City HS) raced her way to a third straight American Midwest Conference title at the AMC Cross Country Championship Saturday in Forest Park.
Hudson finished the 5k in 18:15.86. With the win, she earned the AMC Runner of the Year Title and a return trip to the NAIA Cross Country National Championship November 21 in Vancouver, Washington. There she will look to earn All-American honors for the third straight year.
Hudson also earned Academic All-Conference honors, along with teammates Katie Cline and Lauren Scott. For the MBU men's squad, Kyle Meyer and Zach Keller earned Academic All-Conference honors.
In the men's race, MBU senior Kenny Kibii (Kenya) finished as MBU's top runner, finishing in tenth place. Kibii ran the 8k in 27:09.12 and was named to the All-Conference team for his performance.
