The MBU women's volleyball team will host Hannibal-LaGrange College in the opening round of the American Midwest Conference Tournament on Tuesday, November 10. Missouri Baptist will host the match at neighboring CBC High School. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.

The Lady Spartans finished the AMC Regular Season in fourth place, with a 11-5 record (22-16 overall). MBU finished the regular season tied with McKendree University, but the Lady Bearcats won the tie breaker to earn the third place tournament seeding. The HLG Lady Trojans finished in fifth place with an 8-8 record in the AMC (17-18 overall).

MBU and Hannibal split their regular season matches. Hannibal won the first contest at home in four games. Missouri Baptist won the second match-up at home in five games. Tuesday's match played on a neutral court will be an exciting contest, as both teams play to stay alive in the single elimination tournament.

The winner should face Columbia College in the semi-final round on Thursday, November 12. The Lady Cougars play Stephens College in the opening round. The NAIA's seventh ranked Columbia claimed the AMC Regular Season title, going a perfect 16-0 in the AMC (34-2 overall). Missouri Baptist was the only conference opponent to take a game against Columbia the entire season. The Lady Spartans played the Lady Cougars to four games at MBU on October 8.
