ST. LOUIS – [BOX GAME 1] [BOX GAME 2] Missouri Baptist Softball dropped its final two conference games Wednesday afternoon to Lindenwood-Belleville. The Lynx won game one 2-0 and the second game 4-2 for the sweep.

Lynx hurler Taylor Winn allowed just two hits to the Spartan bats while striking out 11. Amber Mobbs and Andrea Chessor each recorded hits for the navy and white.

Belleville added runs in the third and the sixth. Winn helped her own cause with an RBI single in the third to give herself all the run support she'd need. A home run from Katie Deluka doubled the Lynx lead to 2-0 in the sixth.

Delissa Dennison pitched well, allowing seven hits and two runs in six innings, but took the loss.

Missouri Baptist (18-22, 10-14 AMC) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in game two before LU-B scored four unanswered runs. Mobbs continued her hot streak at the plate with a single to start the third. Rachel Galbraith also singled and the next batter Meagan Elder doubled them both home.

The lead was short-lived however, as Belleville responded with two runs on three hits in the bottom half to tie the game. Rebecca Touchette delivered the big two-RBI single. The Lynx took advantage of two MoBap errors to take the lead in the fourth and went ahead 4-2 when Touchette homered in the fifth.

Mobbs, Galbraith and Caitlin McNiff all had two hits in game two. MBU next plays on Saturday, April 22 in an exhibition against St. Louis CC. Stats will not be countable for this game. Afterwards, MBU will honor its lone senior Andrea Chessor. Game one is set to start at noon.
