ST. LOUIS—[FINAL RESULTS] Missouri Baptist Men's Golf finished second (313-303-303—919) at the AMC Championship on Tuesday. Old Kinderhook Golf Club in Camdenton, Mo. played host to the tournament for the first time.

The Spartans were fourth as a team after two rounds on Monday. They made the move up the leaderboard on Tuesday, passing Lindenwood-Belleville and Freed-Hardeman, on the strength of low rounds from their top two players.

Curtis Brokenbrow finished off a terrific spring campaign with another Top 10. The sophomore opened with 76 in round one but steadily advanced up the board with a 72-73 finish. That left the Manchester, England native in solo fourth when the dust settled.

A pair of day one 77s had Andrew Grant in 16th place. The senior jumped 10 spots on the leaderboard however, after a second day 72 to finish tied for sixth. The one-over par round was the second lowest of the day, just two higher than eventual champion Billy McKenzie of William Woods.

Cody Stevens rounded out the Top 10 for MBU. The senior sandwiched a second round 75 between a pair of 77s to finish solo ninth in the 39 man field.

William Woods finished first as a team for the fourth straight year. The Owls lapped the field to take home the title by a whopping 54 shots. In comparison, the difference between MBU and third place Freed-Hardeman was just eight shots.

The strong finish translated to plenty of hardware for the Spartans. Curtis Brokenbrow and Andrew Grant were named to the Second Team All-Conference. Cody Stevens was named an All-Conference Honorable Mention. Grant also garnered the AMC Newcomer of the Year award.
