ST. LOUIS -- Looking to end the season on a high note, the Spartans made their way to Missouri Southern State and Pittsburg State to compete this past weekend.

At the last chance meet at Missouri Southern State, the Spartans fared well. Faith Reynolds took home a first place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.05.

MBU added two other third place finishes on the day, one by Megan McCrary and the other By Aliyah Reams. McCrary took home third place in the triple jump landing a distance of 11.55m, while Reams medaled in the 200m dash with a time of 25.38 seconds.

In the shot put and discus events, MBU was represented by two freshmen who both placed in the top ten. In shot put, Andrea Hughes placed with a distance of 11.45m. While fellow freshman Genevieve Hicks placed in the discus at a distance of 31.52m.

In the Rumble in Jungle last chance qualifier meet at Pitt State, Rebecca Starrett continued her stellar performance in the 3000m steeple chase finishing first with a time of 12:14.61.
