Men's Basketball - Mon, Nov 30, 2009
The MBU men's basketball team went 1-1 over the Thanksgiving break, beating Principia College on the Eve of Turkey Day, and losing to the University of Missouri Science and Technology on Saturday. The Spartans are now 4-6 overall.

The Spartans cruised to a 105-67 win over Principia College on Wednesday night. Three Spartans scored in double digits. Senior guard Brandon Roberson led all scorers with 26 points. Junior forward Rondu Stevens poured in 19 points and senior guard Kyle Hubbard scored 18 points. Freshman guard LeAndre' Johnson dished out 10 assists.

MBU traveled to Rolla, Mo. to face NCAA D-II University of Missouri S&T on Saturday. UMR's 60% shooting from the field helped to lift them over MBU 79-67. The Spartans shot just 36% from the field, but connected on 79% of their free-throw attempts (19-of-24). Roberson again led the Spartans in scoring, with 17 points. Stevens added 15 points and Hubbard 13 points.

The Spartans will host Mid-Continent University this Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. MBU suffered a 78-105 loss to Mid-Continent earlier in the month.
