Haylee Eastridge leads the Spartans with six goals on the season
Women's Soccer - Wed, Sep. 13, 2017

ST. LOUIS—[BOX SCORE] (RV) Missouri Baptist Women's Soccer kicked off their conference schedule on Wednesday with a 3-0 road victory over Hannibal-LaGrange.

The Hannibal goal was under siege from the start as the Spartans launched a season-high 21 shots on target. The breakthrough finally came in the 29th minute when Monica Robinson notched her first goal of the season. Megan Allen recorded the assist as MBU snapped a goal drought that stretched back to August 30 against Culver-Stockton.

The floodgates opened after that. Haylee Eastridge tallied just three minutes later to make it 2-0, with the assist coming from Danielle Wilde. Eastridge would get on the board again in the 88th minute to seal the match. The senior launched a career-high 13 total shots with eight on target.

Goalkeeper Alex Lair didn't see a lot of action but the senior did record three saves to earn her second consecutive clean sheet. Lair is closing in on the MBU career record for saves, now needing just 24 to tie Samantha Schulze (246 from 2010-13).

The Spartans improve to 3-2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. They'll return home for the AMC Game of the Week on Saturday against William Woods. Kickoff at CBC Stadium is set for 3 pm.
