Women's Indoor Track & Field - Sun, Jan 31, 2010
The MBU women's track and field team finished sixth of 13 teams at Illinois Wesleyan University's Titan Open, held at the Shirk Center on January 30th.MBU senior Meagan Hudson crushed the field in the 5000m, running a personal best of 17:36, which also places her one of the current top five performances in the NAIA in this event.  Hudson also ran the 800m run for the first time this season, placing 6th, with a time of 2:21.

Tiffany Jackson, surpassed the National Championship automatic qualifying standard in the 55m Hurdles, with a time of 8.50. She placed second in the event finals. She also ran a personal best of 7.46 in the 55m dash, just missing the national "B" standard. She also finished 8th in the 200m dash with a time of 26.75, her best indoor mark.

Arianna Dotson, made her first debut in an event final, running 7.80 in the 55m dash. She placed 11th in the event, as well as grabbing an 11th place finish in the 400m dash.

"This is the middle point of our indoor season, and weekly improvements are happening, which is motivational," said MBU Head Coach Amanda Schick. "I think we're in a good position to have our best performances right when we need them, at the conference and national meet."

The Lady Spartans will compete at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Ill. for the second time this season on Saturday, February 6th.
