Four members of the MBU women's wrestling team have qualified to compete at the 2010 USA World Team Trials. The Trials are set to be held June 11-12 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

With their top two finishes at last weekend's WCWA National Championships, four Lady Spartans earned a spot at the World Team Trials. Amy Whitbeck,  Schuyler Brown, and Veronica Carlson all qualified with their second place finishes, and Helen Maroulis qualified with her first place finish at the WCWA National Championships. This will be a return trip to the USA World Team Trials for each of the four athletes.

"I believe that the girls' best wrestling is yet to come," said MBU Head Coach Brian Jackson. "This is a young group, so the future looks bright for MBU women's wrestling.

For each of the athletes, a championship  at the World Team Trials would earn her a spot representing the USA Team at the 2010 World Wrestling Championships in Moscow, Russia.
