The women's track & field team traveled to Jacksonville, Illinois once again last weekend to compete at Illinois College.
The Distance Medley Relay and the Sprint Medley Relay both took first for the Lady Spartans. The DMR (Alexandra Weathersby, Tiffany Jackson, Whitney Welch, Meagan Hudson) ran its best time of the season, finishing in 12:31.3. That time was ahead of the NAIA National automatic qualifying standard by 14 seconds. The Sprint Medley Relay (Adrianna Dotson, Porcha Grady, Erica Rieman, Katie Cline) ran their first place race in 4:45.8.
In individual competition, Tiffany Jackson turned in the top performance for MBU, taking first in the 55m hurdles. Also finishing in the top ten for the Lady Spartans were Katie Cline (5th place-mile), Adrianna Dotson (8th place-400m), Porcha Grady (9th place-400m), and Lauren Scott (10th place-mile).
