Women's Basketball - Mon, Feb 8, 2010
The Lady Spartan basketball team picked up its third win in a row on Saturday, winning its AMC match-up against Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. on Saturday. For the first time in three games, MBU won without an extra period, beating the Stars 70-66 in regulation.

MBU (14-8, 6-4) led 35-27 at the half and increased their lead to 11 points early in the second half. The Lady Spartans could not capitalize on easy buckets and the Stars hung around much of the second half. MBU's Jessica Moore got two of her game high 32 points on an offense rebound put-back that pushed the MBU lead to five points with under two minutes in the game. The Lady Spartans built their lead to seven points with under 30 seconds to play, but a late three-pointer by Stephens College in the final seconds accounted for the final score.

In addition to her 32 points, Moore also grabbed 8 rebounds.  Andrea Seabaugh added 19 points and seven rebounds for MBU, while Ashley Johnson chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Missouri Baptist is at Harris-Stowe State University on February 11th for a 5:30 p.m. game. They return to Muncy Gymnasium on February 13th to host McKendree University at 2pm.
