MBU men's basketball's Brandon Roberson has been named the American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of February 15. This is the second consecutive week Roberson has earned the honor.The 5'10" senior guard from Rosharon, Texas led his team to a 2-0 record in AMC play last week. He averaged 26.5 points, shooting 71.4% from the field in the victories. He also shot lights out from three-point range, hitting 7-for-9 from behind the arc.

Roberson scored 23 points in the Spartans' 82-80 road win over Harris-Stowe on Thursday. He followed up that performance by draining 30 points in a come-from-behind upset win over then 7th ranked McKendree University at home on Saturday. Roberson scored 19 of his points in the second half. He shot 11-for-12 from the field, and hit 5-for-5 from behind the arc.

Roberson leads the conference in scoring, averaging 20 points per contest. The Spartans are currently 14-12 on the season, and sit tied for third in the American Midwest Conference with Harris-Stowe at a 5-5 record.
