The MBU women's tennis team opened the 2010 Spring Season at the six-team Principia College Invitational this weekend.At number one singles, Meghan McCreary saw the most action for the Lady Spartans. She faced five opponents, and finished 3-2. At number three singles, Lindsay Dixon boasted a perfect 3-0 record, to take third place in Singles Flight B. Also competing in singles competition were #2 Kasha Davenport (1-1), #4 Hannah Wadlow (2-2), and #5 Kristen Roberts (2-1).

Two teams competed in Doubles competition for MBU. At number one doubles, McCreary/Davenport suffered a 8-5 loss to Troupe/Harling of Greenville College. At number two doubles, Dixon/Wadlow finished 1-1.

The Lady Spartans will compete in their first dual meet of the season on Saturday, February 27, when they travel to American Midwest Conference foe McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois.
