Tiffany Jackson was named the AMC Meet Outstanding Track Athlete.
Women's Indoor Track & Field - Mon, Feb 22, 2010
The MBU women's track & field team competed in the first ever American Midwest Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship in Columbia, Mo. this weekend. The team finished in third place out of four teams and had several event champions.McKendree University took the women's team title with 169 points. They were followed by Hannibal-LaGrange College with 120 points, MBU with 101 points, and William Woods University with 88 points.

The highlight of the Missouri Baptist performances was Tiffany Jackson. Jackson was named the meet's Outstanding Track Athlete. She was the champion in three races; the 60m hurdles, the 400m dash, and the 200m dash. She meet NAIA Indoor National Qualifying Standard in the 200m dash.

Also winning individual titles for MBU was Meagan Hudson in the 1 mile and the 3,000m run, and the Distance Medley Relay. The DMR came just .16 seconds shy of meet NAIA Indoor National Qualifying Standard.

"There were many high points and a few disappointments," said MBU Head Coach Amanda Schick. "The girls have pushed themselves physically and mentally all year, and I am very proud of this young team. Now we focus on the Indoor National Meet."

The 2010 NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championships run from March 4-6 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
