Men's Lacrosse - Wed, Mar 3, 2010
The MBU men's lacrosse opened the 2010 campaign with a home to loss to Miami of Ohio on Saturday. The Red Hawks won the contest at CBC High School by a score of 10-4.

MBU's newest midfielder Ian Brosch won the game's first faceoff. (The Spartans had seven faceoff wins on the day). From there, MBU's offense possessed the ball for the first nine minutes of the first quarter. They recorded six shots on net during that time, but could not get the ball into the back of the net.

The rest of the first half stayed very close with junior goalie Ben Hughes coming up with 12 saves (19 total on the day). At the end of the second quarter the score stood 5-4 in favor of Miami. For the remainder of the game, MBU could not find a way to score, and fell to the Red Hawks 10-4.

Scoring for the Spartans were: David Justvig (SO.), Brandon Horschig (JR.), Tyler Smith (SO.), and Rob St. Laurent (JR.) all with one goal a piece.

Missouri Baptist will return to action Friday, March 5, when they travel to Indianapolis to compete against Ferris State University.
