Three members of the Lady Spartan basketball program earned All-Conference honors, announced at the conclusion of the American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Tournament in Fulton, Mo. on Monday night.
Earning top honors for MBU is junior forward Jessica Moore (Belleville, Ill.). Moore was named First Team All-Conference. She led the AMC in scoring, averaging 18 points per contest. She also led the AMC in field goal percentage, shooting 54.6%.
Being named All-Conference Honorable Mention were junior forward Ashley Johnson (St. Louis, Mo.) and sophomore guard Andrea Seabaugh (Columbia, Mo.). Johnson led the AMC in offensive rebounds and was third in scoring with 15.6 PPG. She was also second in the AMC behind Moore shoot 53.8% from the field. Seabaugh averaged 16 PPG throughout AMC play, averaged 2.6 assists, and shot 35% from behind the arc. She was also named Academic All-Conference.
Also earning Academic All-Conference honors for the Lady Spartans were sophomore forward Monique Melton, junior guard Amanda Alvey, and freshman forward Tori Hagni. Athletes had to earn at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale to earn Academic All-Conference honors.
