
Three members of the Missouri Baptist University men's basketball team have earned American Midwest Conference honors. The Spartans, who finished third in the AMC Regular Season, can boast two First Team members and one Honorable Mention athlete.
Brandon Roberson, a senior guard (Rosharon, Tex.) and Rondu Stevens, a junior forward (Queens, N.Y.) were named First Team All-Conference. Roberson led the AMC in scoring, averaging just under 20 points per game. He also led the Spartans in assists, with 3.6/game and steals, with 1.7/game. Stevens averaged just under 13 PPG and pulled down a team high 6 rebounds/game. He also led the Spartans in blocks/game, averaging 1.6.
Earning Honorable Mention All-Conference Honors for the Spartans was senior guard Kyle Hubbard (Carruthersville, Mo.). Hubbard was second on the squad in scoring, averaging just under 14 points per contest .
Also earning Academic All-Conference honors for MBU was freshman forward Ryne Brewer (Palmyra, Mo.). To earn Academic All-Conference honors, an athlete must possess at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
