The MBU softball team went 6-0 in their Spring Break Rebel Games to improve to 10-8 on the season. Missouri Baptist opened the week on Monday, March 8. In game one, the Lady Spartans downed Waldorf College 8-0 in 5 innings behind the one hit pitching of Senior Jessica Robinson.  Freshman Jenna Bentlage hit another home run to pace MBU. Megan Wildhaber and Lauren Scovill chipped in with 2 hits apiece.
In game two the Spartans defeated Univerisity of Saint Francis (IN) 12-3 in 5 innings. Jenni Kemp went the distance for MBU in securing the victory.  Lesley Kennedy, Megan Rocco,  and Lauren Scovill had 3 hits each as the Spartans continued to hammer the softball.
On Tuesday, MBU continued their winning ways, rolling by the University of  Saint Francis (IL) 8-3. Megan Bote and Jessica Robinson combined for the win. Lauren Scovill had three hits, while Lesley Kennedy, Megan Rocco, and Dani Bayer chipped in with two hits apiece.
In the second game of the day, the Lady Spartans won a nailbiter 1-0 over Marian College of Indiana. The lone tally was the result of another home run by freshman Jenna Bentlage. Jessica Robinson hurled her second consecutive shutout while allowing just a mere basehit. However, the evening belonged to junior centerfielder Dani Hayden, as she made two diving catches to help preserve the hard fought victory. The Spartans squared their record at 8-8 on the season.

Due to a rainy Thursday and Friday, Wednesday would prove to be the final day of play in Florida. In Wednesday's first contest, MBU senior pitcher Jenni Kemp hurled a three hit masterpiece in defeating Adrian College 4-0. Megan Rocco and Wildhaber led the hit brigade with two hits apiece.

In the final game of the week, junior pitcher Megan Bote got the start on the mound for the MBU lasting only two batters, as she left the game with a leg injury. Senior hurlers Jenni Kemp and Jessica Robinson picked up the slack, as the Lady Spartans won their eighth game in a row by downing Bluffton College 5-2. Megan Wildhaber and Lesley Kennedy paced the Lady Spartan attack with two hits each.

MBU now sports a record of 10-8. They return home for a week full of play, beginning with a double header against Illinois College at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17.
