The Missouri Baptist University men's soccer program has announced the signing of utility player Steve McMahon. McMahon will join the Spartans after playing the last two seasons for St. Louis Community College at Meramec.
McMahon, a 5'10" junior, graduated from Lafayette Senior High School in
2008. There he achieved First Team All-Conference honors under Coach Tim
Walters. He also played club soccer for Scott Gallagher for five years,
under coaches Tom Howe and Lou English. At Meramec, McMahon has played
both sides of the field, and earned Second Team All-Conference honors in
the Fall. McMahon's parents, Kendall and Beth McMahon, are MBU alumni.
"We are very excited to have a player of this caliber that can fill any
spot on our first team," said MBU Head Coach Deno Merrick. "Steve is a
very solid, hard working player that will make an immediate impact."
