MBU Director of Tennis Lloyd Brown has earned the highest award given to Baptist Boy Scouts. Brown was honored with the Silver Good Shepherd Award.

Brown becomes just the sixth Scout in Missouri to earn the honor. The award is presented by the Association of Baptists for Scouting for distinguished service leading toward the spiritual, physical, mental and moral development of youth.

Brown has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America for 62 years. Since then, he has served in leadership at the local, state and national levels, earning numerous awards along the way.

Brown was the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach for three seasons, before becoming the Director of Tennis for the 2009-2010 campaign.
