The MBU men's soccer program has announced the signing of Festus Senior High School (Mo.) senior Dylan Penrod. Dylan initially impressed the Spartan coaching staff at at an MBU open tryout in
November 2009.
"Dylan has
all the attributes necessary to be an impact player for Missouri Baptist
University," said MBU Head Coach Deno Merrick. "He has the physical presence, and his technique
keeps improving daily."
In his
senior season at Festus, Dylan was the top goal scorer and assist leader for the Tigers with
18
goals and 12 assists. His junior season, he was second with 13 goals
and 9
assists.
Coach Merrick continued, "The addition of
players of Dylan's quality will provide us with more of a threat to other
teams.Dylan will be a great addition to
the program."
