At 51 KG, sophomore Amy Whitbeck finished in second place. At 55 KG, freshman Helen Maroulis finished in second place. At 59 KG, sophomore Schuyler Brown finished in fifth place. At 63 KG, freshman Veronica Carlson finished in third place.

U.S. Open champions in women's freestyle advance to the finals of the World Team Trials. This will be the best of three matches.  They will wrestle the winner of the mini tournament. The winner will represent the US in the World Championships. 

Both Helen Maroulis and Amy Whitbeck of MBU will be the #1 Seed in the mini tournament. The winner of the mini tournament will battle the U.S. Open Champion for the World Team spot. Veronica Carson will be the #2 Seed and Schuyler Brown will be the # 4 Seed for the mini tournament.
