The MBU softball team concluded its season last weekend with two losses to Columbia College in the American Midwest Conference Tournament Quarterfinal Round. Prior to the game, 19 Lady Spartans received Academic All-Conference honors.

Columbia, the top seed in the tournament, swept the Lady Spartans in two games in a best of three series last Friday. The Lady Cougars won game one 4-3 and took eight innings to win game two 4-3 as well. The Lady Spartans finish the season with a 29-24 record. They finished eighth in the AMC regular season with a record of 6-10.

Nineteen of the twenty-one members of the Missouri Baptist squad earned Academic All-Conference honors, by boasting at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. Earning honors for MBU were: Elisabeth Allen, Natalie Aubuchon, Danielle Bayer, Jenna Bentlage, Samantha Burkart, Julie Hathaway, Danielle Hayden, Kristina Hein, Kalie Henthorn, Brittany Job, Jennifer Kemp, Lesley Kennedy, Stacey Launius, Brigette Penalber, Jessica Robinson, Meaghan Rocco, Lauren Scovill, Desiree Tanori, and Torrie Yeast.
