Zachary Claus signs a letter of commitment to play soccer at MBU.
Men's Soccer - Mon, May 24, 2010
The MBU men's soccer program has signed four more athletes for the 2010-2011 season: Zachary Claus, Timothy Stephen, Justin Fernandes and Adam Lang.

Zachary Claus, a forward, is a senior at Metro High School in St. Louis. Zachary scored 26 goals and chipped in 15 assist on the 2009 season. "We are hopeful that his abilities at the high school level will be as dominant at the college level," said MBU Head Coach Deno Merrick.

Timothy Stephen, a utility player, is a transfer from Illinois Central College in Peoria, Illinois. Timothy's experience and ability will be a good addition to the young MBU soccer team. "We are hopeful that he will help get the program back to the top," said Coach Merrick.

Justin Fernandes, a utility player, is a senior at Ellsbury High School in Missouri. He is a very disciplined athlete and has the willingness to learn as much as possible. These qualities will help him to develop into a very good player for MBU.

Adam Lang, a defender, is a transfer from St. Louis Community College at Meramec. Adam played at MBU his freshman and sophomore season. After a year away, Adam will return to MBU for a second stint with the Spartans. Adam is a physically strong defender and learns how to improve on his weaker areas very quickly. "Having Adam back will provide more stability to the defensive core of our group," said Coach Merrick.
