Twelve MBU spring sport athletes have been recognized as 2010 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes. In all, nineteen Spartan athletes have earned the honor from the NAIA for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Those spring sport athletes receiving Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition include: Katie Cline (track & field), Lindsay Dixon (tennis), Katherine Dunlap (golf) Jacob Greminger (baseball), Danielle Hayden (softball), Russel Hendricks (baseball), Kyle Jasper (golf), Steve Kassel (track & field), Calvin Kohler (tennis), Stacey Launius (softball), Jessica Robinson (softball), and Torrie Yeast (softball).

Athletes are nominated by their coaches for the honor. To be named a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must be at least a junior in standing and possess a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale.
