

Amanda Schick begins her third season as Head Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Coach. Under Coach Schick the MBU women's Cross Country team has produced 3 All-Conference Cross Country athletes and one NAIA Cross Country All-American. On the track, the Lady Spartan's have medaled 15 All-Conference track athletes, resulting in a second place finish at the 2009 AMC Outdoor meet. At the National level, there have been 6 qualifiers for the Indoor NAIA National Championship, with 3 top ten finishers, and 6 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship qualifiers, with 3 placing in the top 15 and one NAIA Outdoor All-American.
Prior to MBU, Coach Schick spent three years at NCAA Division I Northwestern State University (Natchitoches, Louisiana). While there, Coach Schick worked as an assistant coach with the men's and women's sprinters and relays. Her time there resulted in numerous All-Conference and Mid-East Regional qualifiers, along with both an NCAA All-American and USA Track 100m qualifier. Prior to coaching at NSU, Coach Schick served as an Assistant Track and Field Coach at Grand Valley State University, a NCAA Division II institution in Allendale, Michigan.
A native of Texas, and product of Western State College of Colorado, she received her Bachelors degree in Psychology. While at Western, her athletic career led her to become a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Conference Team member, a NCAA DII National Qualifier and school record holder in the Indoor and Outdoor 4x400m relay. Coach Schick obtained her Master's Degree from NSU, and also holds USA Track and Field Level I and Level II certifications.

Rachel Baldwin joins the staff of the MBU Women's Track and Field program this year. A 2008 graduate of Missouri Baptist University obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine, with a minor in Health Science. Rachel is one of the most decorated female track and field athletes for MBU. An All-Conference athlete in the 100m and 200m, All-American in both the 4x400m and 4x100m relay, individually qualifying for the NAIA Indoor National Championship in the 60m dash and the NAIA Outdoor National Championship in the 100 meters, as well as being a member of the 2006 NAIA Indoor and Outdoor National Championship Track and Field Team. While she attended MBU she was on the Honor Roll and was on the Academic Dean's List all four years. She was also nominated for the Champions of Character Award.
She served as a Graduate Assistant Coach last season. She enters her second season with higher expectations and goals to supplement the previous year. Rachel is finishing her Masters in Business Administration. She attended Waynesville High School a few miles outside of Fort Leonardwood, MO (military base). Both parents are retired military (21 years of service).
