Gordon Reiter - Head Coach - 4th Season

Coach Gordon Reiter enters his third season as head of the Men's Track and Field program. He joined the MBU program as head XC coach in 2006 after several successful years at Maryville University in St. Louis.  The 2006 XC team won the American Midwest Conference Championship, placing 3rd at the NAIA Regionals. Senior Denis Bull-Olinga earned All-American honors and Coach Reiter was named AMC Coach of the Year.

Since then, the Track/XC teams have continued to make progress in becoming a competitive force in the AMC (conference) as well as in the NAIA. Over two dozen MBU athletes have qualified and competed at the National Championship Meet(s), with eight men and one woman earning All-American awards.

"I am really looking forward to the upcoming year!" Coach Reiter continues, "The Men's XC and Track Programs are healthy and continue to grow with a fine group of incoming student-athletes and returning talent as well."

Before joining the college level, Coach Reiter was one of the most respected high school coaches in the St. Louis area. He coached for 28 years at Parkway Central and Parkway South (HS) where his athletes earned numerous All-State honors. In addition, as a certified NFHS official, he has performed duties for the past 25 years at MSHSAA track and cross country meets as an official/starter/referee in the St. Louis area and at the State Championship(s).

Coach Reiter received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education at Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, MO; (1972) Master of Arts in Teaching (1981--SE Mo);

He taught Elementary Physical Education and coached in the Parkway School District , St. Louis County, MO (1973-2002)
