Eddie Uschold - Head Coach - 11th Season
Eddie Uschold enters his eleventh season as Head Baseball Coach at Missouri Baptist University. The 2008-2009 school will be Uschold's eighteenth season coaching at the collegiate level. After leading the Spartans to a record of 24-20 in 2009, Uschold's record at MBU is 368-207-2. He has an overall career coaching record of 384-231-2.
Coach Uschold is the winningest coach in MBU baseball history. He has led his MBU squads to five American Midwest Conference Championships ('02, '03, '04, '07, '08) and one NAIA Region V Championship ('08). He has been named the American Midwest Conference Coach of the Year four times ('03, '04. '07, '08) and the NAIA Region V Coach of the Year one time ('03).
In his ten seasons at Missouri Baptist University, Uschold has coached 20 NAIA All-Americans, 25 All-Region players, 52 first team All-Conference players, three AMC Pitchers of the Year, one AMC Player of the Year, and six AMC Newcomers of the Year.
Prior to coming to MBU, Coach Uschold was Head Coach at Olivet College (Mich.), Assistant Coach at Manchester College (Ind.), and Assistant Coach at Tyler Junior College (Texas). He began his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant Coach under Danny Hall at Kent State University (Ohio).
In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Uschold also serves as Assistant Director of Athletics and as an Instructor in MBU's Health & Sport Sciences division.
Coach Uschold is a native of Bedford Heights, Ohio. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Health & Physical Education from Baldwin-Wallace College (Berea, Ohio). He earned his Master's Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Administration from Kent State University (Ohio).
He and his wife Ann have three children: Sarah Alice (6), Edward William (4) and Elisabeth Carole (1). They are members of Ballwin Baptist Church.
