John Yehling - Head Coach - 6th Season
John Yehling was hired in 2002 as Head Men's Volleyball Coach. In his first year, he led the Spartans to a second place finish at the NAIA National Tournament. Since taking over, the men's team has qualified for the national tournament every year but one and has compiled a record of * during that time.  
In 2005, Coach Yehling was named Head Women's volleyball coach and immediately made an impact. The team qualified for the NAIA National tournament each of his first two years finishing in the Final Four in 2005 and the Elite Eight in 2006. Their record is * since Coach Yehling has taken over.
 

During his tenure at MBU, Coach Yehling has an overall record of 222-80. He has coached several All-Americans for both the men and the women, and in 2006 coached Ana Mercado to the NAIA Player of the Year Award. He was also named Conference and Region Coach of the Year in 2005 on the women's side and Conference Coach of the Year in 2004 on the men's side.

Coach Yehling is originally from St. Louis and attended Vianney High School. He married his high school sweetheart Jessica in October of 2004. Their first child, Cecelia Christine, was born May 29, 2008.

Chris Nichols - Associate Head Coach - 6th Season

Chris Nichols is entering his first year as Associate Head Coach for Women's Volleyball program, he has spent the last five years as Assistant Head Coach for both Men's and Women's programs. Chris has been at Missouri Baptist since 2000 as a player and then was promoted to the coaching staff. Chris graduated from Francis Howell High School in St. Charles where he was a 4 year varsity setter from 1997-2000, including the 2000 State Championship Team. He played for MBU forthree years and helped the Spartans earn the 2nd Place National Tournament finish in the 2003 season.

In addition to his playing experience, Chris is also an experienced coach. He coached the Varsity Boy's and Girl's Volleyball at Francis Howell High School from 2002-2005 helping the girls to their first conference and district titles since 1981, and the boys team to three straight Final 4 appearances. Over the last five years at MBU Chris has help lead the Women to a first time ever Final Four finish in the 2005 National Tournament, Women's Elite Eight in 2006, Women's NAIA National Player of the Year in 2006, Four Women's NAIA All Americans, Nine Men's NAIA All Americans, and Three NAIA Men's Final Fours.

Chris also is very reputable in the club volleyball scene where he has helped start Kaepa St. Charles in 2003 and served as Club Director/Coach for Team Saint Louis VBC from 2004-Current. TSL has merged with High Performance and is now High Performance STL VBC, currently Chris remains very involved with High Performance as a Coach and Girls Development Director.
