The MBU Spartan softball team has received the five seed in the American Midwest Conference Tournament. The Spartans will open play against the four seed Park University at 2 pm on Friday, April 29 at Park.
The MBU Spartan softball team opened conference play and got an upset win over rival Columbia College in AMC action at Columbia on Monday. The Spartans split the American Midwest Conference double header with the Cougars, who were ranked 20th in the NAIA Pre-Season Coaches Poll. The Spartans dropped the first game 4-0, and winning the second 2-1.
Three members of the MBU softball team have received All-Conference honors, as announced by the American Midwest Conference office at the conclusion of the 2010 AMC Softball Tournament.
