After keeping pace with the No. 5-ranked Columbia (Mo.) through one quarter, the Cougars exploded for 36 points in the second and sealed the fate of the Spartans in a 90-55 win over the visitors from St. Louis.

LOUIS – [BOX SCORE] It looked good early, but when it comes to American Midwest Conference (AMC) Basketball, when you take your foot off the gas, even for a moment, momentum usually shifts in the opposite direction. That was the story in Parkville, Mo., on Thursday evening. Missouri Baptist led by four after the opening 10 minutes and kept it close for 35, but could not keep pace in the final five as Park (Mo.) defeated MBU 65-56.
ST. LOUIS – [BOX SCORE] Missouri Baptist Women's Basketball delivered its fans a Mardi Gras gift of a dominant victory on Saturday. The Spartans put together a solid 40 minute effort in a 74-53 victory at home over Central Baptist (Ark.).

The No. 6-ranked Scots put together another consistent 40 minutes of basketball on Thursday night and won their 17th straight game of the year in a 64-47 win over Missouri Baptist.
ST. LOUIS – [BOX SCORE] After playing to a one-point overtime loss back in the beginning of December, Missouri Baptist Women's Basketball was hoping for a big win in front of a home crowd on Saturday. A disastrous second quarter, however, played a major role for the Spartans in a 69-47 loss.
