ST. LOUIS – [FINAL SEASON STATISTICS] It was a season of improvement for Missouri Baptist Women's Basketball. Coming off a season that the team missed the American Midwest Conference Playoffs, the Spartans returned to the postseason in 2017 with a seventh-place finish in the top NAIA Division I Conference in the Nation.
ST. LOUIS – [BOX SCORE] Just minutes into the first round of the American Midwest Conference Championship Tournament it became clear that No. 10-ranked Lyon (Ark.) was feeling it on offense. Two triples in the opening two minutes set the tone as the Scots ended Missouri Baptist's Women's Basketball season in a 91-45 loss in Batesville, Ark.
ST. LOUIS – [GAME 1 BOX] Missouri Baptist knew it was in for a fight against the No. 1 team in the nation and that is exactly what they got on Saturday against Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.). Missouri Baptist shot just 30.5 percent from the floor in a 90-50 loss in Henderson, Tenn.
ST. LOUIS – [BOX SCORE] It was pegged as the most important game of the year for Missouri Baptist Women's Basketball, and the team grabbed the opportunity with both hands. The Spartans held on to the lead down the stretch and rallied behind Shay Robinson's 19-point performance in a 61-55 win over Williams Baptist (Ark.) on Thursday.
After a dominating performance against conference foe, Hannibal LaGrange on Tuesday, The spartans looked to carry that momentum into their matchup Saturday against Harris Stowe.
