ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Baptist University women's lacrosse team has had nothing short of an impressive season.  The Spartans started-off in the off season with a new head coach, Amanda Sullivan, and only nine girls returning with no incoming recruits. "I came into MBU in August to learn that there were only nine lacrosse players on campus" says Coach Sullivan, "fortunately, we were able to find athletes around campus to teach the sport to and become part of our lacrosse family."  After filling the roster the Spartans only had two subs on the bench going into the regular season.

Belleville, Ill. [BOX SCORE] - The Spartans previously attended the banquet hosted by the National Women's Lacrosse League (NWLL). As different players were awarded for their achievements there were also some Spartans that were recognized: NWLL First Team All-American: Lauren Murray, Danielle Pfyl, and Morgen Filla; NWLL Honorable Mention: Casi Brandes and Shelby Shore. One day following the banquet, the Spartans opened up play in the National Women's Lacrosse League playing against Davenport University.
