The Missouri Baptist University Cheer Team will be conducting open tryouts for those interested in being a member of the squad for the 2010-2011 Academic Year. The tryout will take place Saturday, March 27th at 9:00 a.m. in Muncy Gymnasium.

The Missouri Baptist University cheer team will be hold its First Annual Mini Cheer Clinic on Saturday, February 13th from 9:00 a.m. - noon. The clinic will be for those age 4-14.
The cheer team will be selling t-shirts with this logo.

The MBU cheer team is sponsoring "Drink Pink" in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The MBU Cheer Team participated in the University Cheerleaders Association Cheer Camp July 28th-30th. The three-day camp on the Missouri State University campus provided the Spartan mixed squad with the opportunity to come together and fine-tune their skills in time for the 09-10 sports seasons.
On the final day of the camp, the MBU squad competed as one of seven teams in the Small Co-Ed Division. The Spartan squad earned third place in both the cheer and chant competitions. They also won four blue superior ribbons and one red excellent ribbon in the evaluation portion of the camp on day two.
"They really came together as a squad and accomplished a lot at camp," said second year Head Coach Jessica Johnson. "I am excited about the chemistry I see on the squad and can't wait to see how much more they come together this year. It should be a fun year!"
